Knowing the signs of trouble

Heating with natural gas is one of the most economical ways to keep your home warm.

In multiple cases electrical Heating plus Air Conditioning systems are far more extravagant to run due to the average price of this energy source.

For this reason most homeowners, especially in regions where Winters are long, tend to choose natural gas as their fuel of choice. There is one issue that needs to be carefully monitored when heating with natural gas and that is the supply line for your furnace or boiler. With natural gas there needs to be a regular ratio of elements in order for it to burn efficiently and the pilot light is a nice indicator as to whether this is happening. A normal pilot light should burn with a bluish colored flame and if it does then all things are operating officially in most cases. However, if your pilot light is a yellow color, you may want to have your system ran tests on instantaneously. This could be an indicator that there is an excess of carbon monoxide gas in the system and this could not only be dangerous however it can also be deadly. Should you notice this concern you should more than likely shut down your furnace and call for a repair. Her monoxide is one of the most dangerous gasses and it can be present in your home without you ever knowing it. In most cases if the pilot light goes out your system will automatically shut down anyway however the likelihood of you knowing whether there is a carbon monoxide leak, unless you have a monitor in locale, is narrowto none.
