By the middle of September everyone in our section have already turned on their boiler for the first time.
Hopefully in most cases they’ve had it inspected before trying it out because over the summer time things can happen to cause troubles.
Our company honestly picks up once all of this starts because my associate and I are a local Heating plus Air Conditioning service company plus it never fails that our calls double while in this time of year… Yesterday my associate and I got a call from a guy who said that his boiler was always turning on plus off plus he did not know why. He said he had the temperature set just as he always did to 74° plus the apartment seemed warm, however the boiler kept turning on plus off to keep it at that temperature, and could be just about anything including a blocked filter, imofficial air flow, or even a problem with the thermostat itself however that my associate and I would cheerfully come out to check things out for him. This time of year my associate and I always run a special on tune-ups anyway so my associate and I signed him up for that however indicated that my associate and I would repair anything that my associate and I found as well. I explained to him that the $74 tune-up fee would cover the actual visit along with filter change so if it was just that it should repair the problem. He was thrilled to make an appointment plus my associate and I headed out there in a couple of days to see what the problem was. Turns out the problem was imofficial air flow because there was an obstruction in part of his ductwork plus once that was fixed his boiler ran just fine.
