Did you ever meet someone that you just didn’t feel right about? You know, you got an anxious feeling when they walked into the room like you needed to keep your guard up.
That is the way I felt when the guy arrived at my apartment to do some repairs last week.
He had come highly recommended by a buddy of mine plus I right away wondered why. The guy was there to do some service toil on ductwork in the attic. There had been some boxes of books that fell on the lines plus part of them had been harmd. I wanted it repaired before I needed to turn on the heat in a few weeks. My buddy told me that this guy would do the toil for half the price of the Heating plus Air Conditioning dealership so I took him at his word. Little did I know that this creepy guy would show up. I felt like I had let a serial killer into my home. I even called a buddy over to have Dunkin Donuts Latte with me while the guy was there just in case. Anyway, he was up in the attic for about two hours plus when he was done he asked me to go up with him to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. I hesitantly went plus everything seemed great. He billed me far less than the dealership would have plus I cheerfully paid him. I just wanted him out of my house. Looking back I guess I overreacted, however you can never be too careful these days, recommendations are great however you should always take into consideration how the guy will react to a face to face with the guy you are referring to them.
