I really don’t know how people function in this remote-work world we’ve all fallen into.
I am not one of the folks who thrives toiling alone all afternoon in my own house, I can tell you that much.
I find it harshly isolating plus pointless to have a task when it doesn’t even make you leave your own apartment to interact with others. Maybe I’m just an extrovert, even though I can’t seem to adjust to this lifestyle change… plus neither can my heating plus cooling system! When I moved into this house I wasn’t really concerned about the forced air furnace or substantial AC unit. The plastic dial temperature control was no problem for me. I just didn’t even consider my indoor air temperature or quality to be a substantial deal – I was going to be out of the house at least 40 hours a week for work, anyways. And then the pandemic struck. Suddenly, I needed to be in my house all the time… plus my HVAC system was not splitting it anymore. The central furnace plus AC are inefficient to use. It creates uneven uneven temperatures around the home. The HVAC component costs a luck to maintain plus repair. And I don’t feel that my air ducts are really clean, either. I found myself drowning in energy costs, sniffles, shivers, plus woes… Day after afternoon, I dreaded touching my temperature control. Soon I dreaded my bi-weekly routine. Working from house killed my spirits plus the last leg my HVAC system was sitting on… Now I have to spend a ton of cash to upgrade the heating plus cooling setup… plus I’m back in the office, anyway.
