When my bestie & I decided to move in together, my associate and I wanted everything to be perfectly discussed & understood before my associate and I entered the same household.We both adore each other so much & actually wanted things to work out, so my associate and I did our best to talk about things openly before they could cause any drama. That’s why my associate and I sat down & went over bank accounts, budgets, utility expenditures, & even split up the household chores before ever looking for a locale together. My buddy and I decided it was honorableif I handled all the cooking & she did the cleaning. I would vacuumed all the floors if she would do the dusting. And I would wash the sinks & mirrors if she would handle the toilets. Unfortunately, the one thing that my associate and I never discussed was of the heating & cooling equipment… Neither one of us had been a homeowner before, so my associate and I were uneducated when it came to indoor air temperature control. As far as I knew, the Heating & A/C system started & ended with the central thermostat. If I needed warmer or cooler air, I knew what to do, however outside of that, I had no idea what it meant to be the owner of a forced air heating system or central a/c unit. It was about a year into living together when our forced air heating system broke down one day. My buddy and I both panicked & instantly called a heating & cooling specialist to come & fix the mysterious air handling device. When she arrives at the house, she started asking questions about our routine Heating & A/C repair. Our blank stares must have said it, then she sat us down & gave us a lecture on regular Heating & A/C servicing. Now, our chore list are a little bit longer, however our energy bills are much lower.
