Swapped thermostat wiring so heat instead of cool

Swapped thermostat wiring so heat instead of cool

I can’t believe it’s been 6 months already. Earlier this year, I left an extremely toxic and abusive relationship without any warning. It’s been exactly 6 months since I made that enormous decision and walked out without ever looking back. Well, I should say, I looked back several times in order to acquire my personal belongings. After I left, my ex wouldn’t let me get my stuff for several months. When I finally gained access to the house for one weekend to collect all of my belongings, he didn’t make it easy on me. He decided to put a passcode on the thermostat and set the cooling system all the way up to 78 degrees. The air conditioning system was barely running, and it was easily 97 degrees outside. The inside of the house was ridiculously hot and humid, and I could barely breathe while I was trying to pack up my things. I tried plugging in fans for extra cooling power, but nothing cut the immense heat and humidity trapped in the stagnant house. I knew there was no sense in trying to reason with my ex, because he would never give him control of the thermostat during this difficult time. Instead, I went online and started looking at DIY HVAC videos. I learned how to rewire a thermostat, so I could have plenty of cooling power for my difficult move. On the way out of the house, I decided to make one more thermostat modification. I switched the heating and cooling wires, so that the furnace would run when you were trying to set the cooling function. I walked out of the house with a massive smile on my face as the central heating system pumped an endless volume of expensive, treated air into his home.
