Swapped thermostat wiring so heat instead of cool

Swapped thermostat wiring so heat instead of cool

I knew there was no sense in trying to reason with my ex, because she would never give him control of the thermostat during this strenuous time.

I can’t suppose it’s been 6 months already. Earlier this year, I left an harshly toxic and abusive relationship without any warning. It’s been exactly 6 months since I made that enormous decision and walked out without ever looking back. Well, I should say, I looked back several times in order to acquire my personal belongings. After I left, my ex wouldn’t let me get my stuff for several months. When I finally acquired access to the house for one weekend to collect all of my belongings, she didn’t make it simple on me. She decided to put a passcode on the thermostat and set the cooling system all the way up to 73 degrees. The air conditioning was barely running, and it was genuinely 97 degrees outside. The inside of the house was absurdly tepid and humid, and I could barely breathe while I was trying to pack up my things. I tried plugging in fans for extra cooling power, but nothing cut the sizable heat and humidity trapped in the stagnant house. I knew there was no sense in trying to reason with my ex, because she would never give him control of the thermostat during this strenuous time. Instead, I went online and started looking at DIY Heating and A/C videos. I learned how to rewire a thermostat, so I could have plenty of cooling power for my strenuous move, and on the way out of the house, I decided to make one more thermostat modification. I switched the heating and cooling wires, so that the furnace would run when you were trying to set the cooling function. I walked out of the house with a large smile on my face as the central furnace pumped an endless volume of lavish, treated air into her home.
