I cannot be the only adult who is extremely tired of the same seasoned same seasoned New Year’s Eve celebration, and every year I feel like I shell out a ton of money to go spend time in an extravagant bar, just walking into the establishment will cost at least $50 plus I spend the rest of the evening waiting in line trying to get drinks to make the cost worthwhile, meanwhile, I’m dressed plus extremely uncomfortable clothing plus shivering as I attempt not to fall over in high heels, if you ask me, New Year’s Eve is a total drag; That’s why, this year my buddy and I didn’t even bother trying to keep up with the familiar New Year’s crowd, but rather than having a difficult night, my friends plus I decided to stay in plus to build the best fort my buddy and I could, then we got out as many blankets as possible plus started constructing a massive building inside the kitchen; Not only was the fort a ton of fun, but my buddy and I realized that it had an additional merit.
It turns out, our fort entirely saved us some money when it came to energy expenditure in the apartment; As my buddy and I were hanging out, my buddy and I hastily realized that the temperature within the fort was at least 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the apartment.
The air vent in the kitchen was positioned directly inside of the fort. The boiling air was being trapped inside plus creating a nice, boiling tent effect. After only a few minutes in this boiling fort, my buddy and I were able to turn off the central heat entirely. We spent the entire evening camping out by candlelight plus existing without any current temperature control. After this experience, I’m tempted to leave my fort up plus decrease my energy usage everyday.
