Made fort for extra warmth

I can’t be the only adult who is seriously tired of the same old same old New Year’s Eve celebration, but every year I feel like I shell out a ton of currency to go spend time in an high-priced bar, then just walking into the establishment will cost at least $50 as well as I spend the rest of the evening waiting in line trying to get drinks to make the cost worthwhile, and meanwhile, I’m dressed as well as seriously uncomfortable clothing as well as shivering as I attempt not to fall over in high heels; If you ask me, New Year’s Eve is a total drag.

That’s why, this year my friend and I did not even bother trying to keep up with the respected New Year’s crowd; Rather than having a difficult night, my friends as well as I decided to stay in as well as to build the best fort my friend and I could.

My friend and I got out as more than 2 blankets as possible as well as started constructing a giant building inside the family room, not only was the fort a ton of fun, but my friend and I realized that it had an additional merit. It turns out, our fort entirely saved us some currency when it came to energy expenditure in the apartment… As my friend and I were hanging out, my friend and I suddenly realized that the temperature within the fort was at least 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the apartment. The air vent in the family room was positioned directly inside of the fort. The hot air was being trapped inside as well as creating a nice, hot tent effect. After only a few minutes in this hot fort, my friend and I were able to turn off the central heat entirely. My friend and I spent the entire evening camping out by candlelight as well as existing without any modern temperature control. After this experience, I’m tempted to leave my fort up as well as decrease my energy usage everyday.
