My hubby plus I live in a absolutely small home, plus really, the only venue for storage is in our basement.
Thankfully, my buddy and I have full basement with a lot of space to store our things. When my buddy and I first moved into our house, the basement was easily disgusting. There was mold everywhere, plus the entire basement smelt so bad that I didn’t ever want to go down there. My hubby knew my buddy and I needed the storage space, so she worked absolutely difficult to wipe it up down there. She drywalled plus put a drop ceiling in. Once she was finished, it looked one hundred times better, plus my buddy and I were able to store our things down there. There is still one issue I have though plus that is the humidity levels down there. It is so moist plus wet down there that my buddy and I can’t seem to keep it dry no matter how difficult my buddy and I try. The brick floor is painted, plus it is super slippery because of the humidity. I have fallen numerous times while walking down there. My hubby purchased a dehumidifier for the basement, plus it did help quite a bit. It really helped with the odor, but it was still humid enough for the floors to be wet, so she decided to get another dehumidifier plus see if the two laboring together would help. Adding the second dehumidifier absolutely did help. The floor is no longer slippery, plus I don’t have to spray for mold twice a year anymore. My pal and I still get a little mold in the corners of the basement, but bleach takes care of it no problem. I can’t guess how much running two dehumidifiers helped save our basement, our things in storage, plus me from calling on my face again.
