Heated Halloween

Heated Halloween

Each year we worry about the kids heading out trick or treating.

Not that the neighborhood is bad or anything like that, it is the weather that is a problem. In our area you are more likely to have to wear a snowsuit than anything else at the end of October. We always have to make sure that the kids have costumes that can accomodate winter wear underneath them. Because of all of that we were thrilled when one of the local companies offered to host a huge Halloween party for the community. They have a big heated warehouse and they planned on having bounce houses, a haunted house, and many games for kids of all ages. We could finally buy cute costumes for the kids and allow them to run around without worrying about them getting frostbite. The only thing that the company was asking of the residents was that they make a donation to a local charity as their admittance into the party. I would have gladly paid double the amount for a chance to celebrate with my kids in a warm facility. This event is really a winning one for everyone involved. It is great PR for the company, relaxing and comfortable for the kids and families, and the charity gets to benefit from the profits. I am hoping if this event is a success they will make it an annual tradition because I would much rather have my kids in a safe warm environment than out on the cold streets in the dark. I am sure that other parents will agree with me too.
