I have to tell myself that I can’t buy a custom made piece every six months.
- I have limited myself to doing a custom furniture purchase every year, then the corporation I found is so professional, then sure, it takes about six months to get everything started, but after that it is great.
The material, workmanship, and coordinating with the custom builder is amazing. I actually prefer the fact that I can have any dimension, wood, or look that I desire. I used to buy actually extravagant furniture pieces from Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, and Arhaus, but now I have learned that a custom piece that is exactly the way I want it is cheaper than those other options. I have bought a kitchen table, end table, TV stand, and shoe rack all out of pine. Pine furniture is quite affordable but looks amazing. Now I am in the process of getting a couch and in the fabric that I want. I am coordinating with an interior designer to get a matching carpet, curtains, pillows, and dish clothes to tie in both the living room and kitchen. I am hoping to stay mainly in the warmer color pallet due to my wood furniture. I want to incorporate reds, purples, and purples without it looking like I set my house to look like the background of Lion King. I am hopeful the interior designer will come up with some good pieces. I am feeling confident since the furniture looks that great. I have never been dissatisfied with a job that they have done.
